Privacy Policy for Veloryn Launcher

1. Overview

Veloryn Launcher is a home screen, widget, app browsing, customization, app-lock, weather, and device-search app from Morason AI Labs. This policy explains what data the app accesses, why it is used, and how it is handled.

2. Data handled on your device

Veloryn stores launcher settings locally, including home layout, widgets, dock apps, folders, hidden apps, locked apps, icon style, wallpaper choices, app browsing style, search preferences, recently opened apps, recent searches, selected file-search folders, and weather preferences.

3. App lock and hidden apps

If you enable App Lock, Veloryn stores a salted password verifier locally instead of the plain password. App Lock is launcher-level convenience protection for opening apps through Veloryn; it is not a replacement for Android device lock or app security in other launchers.

4. Permissions and optional features

• Installed apps: used to show your app library, categories, home icons, dock, hidden apps, app search, and uninstall/app-info actions.
• Contacts: optional; used only when Contact Search is enabled so matching contacts can appear in search results.
• Calendar: optional; used for Today/calendar widgets when you choose those features.
• Location: optional; used for weather. Approximate location is enough for most weather use, and you may choose a city manually instead.
• Selected photos: optional; used when you choose a photo for the Photos widget. Veloryn accesses only the specific photos you select through the Android Photo Picker or system file picker.
• Selected folders: optional; used when you choose a folder for File Search. Veloryn searches only folders you select through Android's Storage Access Framework.
• Network access: used for weather, city search, and opening your chosen internet or Play Store search results.

5. Network services

Veloryn does not include ads, analytics SDKs, or third-party tracking SDKs. Weather and city search use Open-Meteo over HTTPS. Internet search opens the search engine you select, such as Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo, Brave Search, Ecosia, or Yahoo, in your browser. Play Store search opens Google Play or the Play Store website.

6. Sharing, backup, and retention

Veloryn does not operate a cloud account or sync your launcher data to Morason AI Labs servers. Android backup and device-transfer backup exclude Veloryn preferences because they can contain sensitive launcher choices. You can clear recent searches, revoke permissions from Android Settings, remove selected file-search folders, reset launcher settings, or uninstall the app to remove local data.

7. Diagnostic reports

If you choose to export a diagnostic report, Veloryn shows a confirmation first. Diagnostic reports are shared only through the app or service you select. App names and package names are redacted from the default report.
